New Water Refill Stations installed!

Kinder Shade Quote Exorbitant
District quote for $330,000 to install shade structure out of budget range
We had really hoped to work on a shade solution for the kinder yard however the district quote was beyond our budget. Due to regulations, installing a permanent shade structure in the kinder yard would require the school to also update fire and emergency access to the area as well as update ADA compliance in other areas of the school. The quote was unfortunately outside of the BESF budget. We explored temporary structures however these were not permitted to be attached to existing structures at the school for safety reasons.

UPDATED: District has approved Pop Up Tents to be used outdoors to allow for social distancing in classes. These have been provided by the district.
STEM Room
January 2020
We have a designated STEM room (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math). A STEM room gives students the chance to explore real life concepts. STEM activities provide hands-on and minds-on lessons for the student. Making math and science both fun and interesting helps the student to do much more than just learn.

STEM Room
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)
is important because it pervades every part of our lives. Science is everywhere in the world around us. Technology is continuously expanding into every aspect of our lives. Engineering is the basic designs of roads and bridges, but also tackles the challenges of changing global weather and environmentally-friendly changes to our home. Mathematics is in every occupation, every activity we do in our lives. A STEM room gives students the chance to explore real life STEM-related concepts. STEM activities provide hands-on and minds-on lessons for the student. Making math and science both fun and interesting helps the student to do much more than just learn.
